This afternoon American Legion Post #73 in Murray awarded Certificates of Appreciation to several community members, including Calloway County officials, City of Murray officials, Murray State, the press, myself and other organizations that do so much within our community. But in retrospect, the deepest and ultiminate respect and appreciation go to those veterans who have served and those who are now serving in our nation's military forces.

None of us would be serving in any capacity were it not for THEIR sacrifice, commitment, bravery and efforts.

Take time to say 'thank you' and show your appreciation to those who have and are serving in our armed forces.

Our service and efforts are only possible because of their efforts and by the grace of God.
