I have just finished, for the 3rd year in a row Charles H. Spurgeon 'Morning and Evening' updated edition of Classic Devotionals in today's language and have found that is undoubtablly the very best I have ever used. Even after over 121 years after his death he has brought spiritual comfort to millions of Christians. This all-time classic, twice-read daily devotional speaks in clear, mondern language, making it even more helpful and enrichng to today's reader.
There are several versions out there of this timeless devotional book, but having tried some of the others, I would definately reccommend the one with the forward by Haddon W. Robinson and edited by Roy H. Clark
It is published by Thomas Nelson Publishers in Nashville and available online and larger Christian bookstores.
I can't recommend it enough. Two - four minutes per one page each morning and the same for the evening devotional.
